YEP.

It started yesterday when I somehow found my way back to The Gathering and saw how many old members were returning to the forums (2010 was the year of dolling revival? Lol, totally missed it.) So I thought, "Hell yeah I'm gonna make me a doll" and here we are! It's basically me in my spa uniform :) It started off kinda crappy (because how did one pixel-shade again...?) but somehow it came together quite nicely, despite rusty skills. I tried to go for that seamless "outline-less" look à la Pyrochan, not sure how well that turned out. Still, I am quite pleased with how I rendered the sarong cloth and texture of my uniform (linen).

Base from scratch! Also, pixelling lips is still a bitch to do.

Feedback is very, very welcome, as this is the first polished piece of art I've completed in quite some time (like... 3 years? Damn).

Mabel suggested I turn the original drawing into a mobile, with the hearts cut out and hanging from her dress. I think I'm gonna do that~

The latter looks best on a coloured background, obviously.

Haven't dolled properly lately, and the results show in this entry. *headdesk* I scrapped the original shading because, frankly, I've forgotten how to pixel-shade. Although I'm pleased with the tartan ^^

Long period of no dolling + holidays + getting back into the dolling world + Yuki Kajiura = New base! xD This one's named Akeila, and I like her a lot. I think I'll use her for my next layout doll.

Base by DHF. She represents Singapore (costume based off Singapore's national flower and the veil is the flag.) I'm quite happy with her ^^

Anywho. It hasn't really sunk in yet that I'm leaving tomorrow.

Oh, this is probably not the last you'll her from me till I come home. My dad's bringing the laptop with him.

Dudes, first doll since freakin' June! *faints*

Anyway. I actually did something within a week's time that I said I would do, woah. *pats self on back* The doll represents the current fashion with the popular girls in my class. Credit goes to :*:Marie:*: at TG for the idea! I used the single-shade technique, i.e followed the base. Turned out better than expected, since I was going for the chic look.

What is it? Well. I once had the idea of creating a food journal for myself, and the idea roamed around my head for quite a bit till I sat down today and remembered that I wanted to do one ^__^ So here it is! It isn't one of those FJ that's kept because you need to control your eating habits, but rather a culinary record book xD I love food, and I want to know what I stuff in my mouth all day, hence this was created.

Feel free to read, friend or ignore it =P I might share recipes on it, as well as record my progress in the kitchen (since I like to make pies and bake on occassions).
